Ibn al-Bitar:
Dia al-Din Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Ahmad
al-Malqi, born around the year 1197 AD and died in Damascus in 1248 at the age
of forty-nine years old, while he was doing his research and experiments on
plants, and poison leaked to him during his testing of a plant he tried to make
medicine from.
Ibn al-Bitar is considered an expert in
botany and pharmacology, and the greatest botanist who appeared in the Middle
Ages, and made great contributions in the fields of pharmacy and medicine.
He wrote an encyclopedia on the preparation
and composition of medicine and food, and mentioned 1,400 types of plants that
can be used for medicinal purposes.
Ibn al-Baytar, one of the first herbal
medicines for cancer, discovered the herb “dandelion”, a plant that has proven
successful because of its anti-cancer properties and the treatment of malignant
tumors. It has proven to be beneficial and successful in treatment

* Jaber bin Hayyan:
He is Abu Abdullah Jaber bin Hayyan bin
Abdullah al-Kufi, known as the Sufi. He was born in Tus "Khorasan"
and lived in Kufa, where he worked as a pharmacist and his father was a
perfumer.
Jaber bin Hayyan is considered one of the
prominent Arab geniuses. Among his books on chemistry and pharmacology are the
book “The Scales”, the book “The Secret of the Secrets”, the book “The
Properties” and the book “Poisons and Paying Their Harm.” Most of his books
have been translated into European languages, and they remained a reference in
European universities for several centuries.
*Ibn Sina
Abu Ali Al-Hussein Bin Sina, one of the most
prominent Muslim scholars working in the field of medicine and treatment, was
born in Khurmish, one of the villages of Bukhara, in the year 370 AH / August
908 AD.
Ibn Sina had a good knowledge of medicines and
their effectiveness, and he classified medicines into six groups.
The number of medicines he described in his
book was about 760.
*Abu Bakr al-Razi :
Abu Bakr Al-Razi was born in Al-Ray in 250
AH and died in 311 AH.
He is considered the first to manufacture
mercury ointments, and he was one of the advocates of treatment with the single
medicine (herbal medicine and food), and not to resort to the compound medicine
except in necessity, and in that he says:
“No matter how much you can treat with a
single medicine, do not treat with a combination medicine.”

*ابن البيطار
:
ضياء الدين أبو محمد عبدالله بن أحمد المالقي،
ولد حوالي سنة 1197م وتوفي في دمشق سنة 1248وهو في التاسعة والأربعين من عمره وهو يقوم
بأبحاثه وتجاربه على النباتات ، وتسرب اليه السم اثناء اختباره لنبتة حاول صنع دواء
منها .
يعتبر ابن البيطار خبيرا في علم النباتات
والصيدلة، وأعظم عالم نباتي ظهر في القرون الوسطى، وساهم إسهامات عظيمة في مجالات الصيدلة
والطب..
وكتب موسوعة عن إعداد وتركيب الدواء والغذاء،
وذكر 1400 نوع من النباتات يمكن استخدامها لأهداف طبية، كما ذكر هذا العالم طريقة تركيب
الدواء لبعض الأمراض، والجرعة المطلوب تناولها للعلاج.
اكتشف ابن البيطار أحد أوائل الأدوية العشبية
المداوية للسرطان عشبة "الهندباء"، و هي نبته أثبتت نجاحها لإمتلاكها خصائص
مضادة للسرطان و علاج الأورام الخبيثة. و قد أثبتت فائدتها و نجاحها في العلاج
من مؤلفاته :
الجامع لمفردات الأدوية والأغذية و المغني
في الأدوية المفردة.
*جابر بن حيّان
:
هو أبو عبد الله جابر بن حيان بن عبد الله
الكوفي المعروف بالصوفي. ولد في طوس " خراسان" وسكن الكوفة، حيث كان يعمل
صيدلانياً وكان أبوه عطاراً
.
يُعد جابر بن حيّان علم من أعلام العرب
العباقرة ، من مؤلفاته في الكيمياء والصيدلة كتاب " الموازين" وكتاب
" سر الأسرار" وكتاب "الخواص" وكتاب " السموم ودفع مضارها"
ولقد ترجمت معظم كتبه إلى اللغات الأوربية, وظلت مرجعاً في جامعات أوربا لعدة قرون
*ابن سينا
أبو علي الحسين بن سينا ، من أبرز علماء
المسلمين العاملين في مجال الطب والعلاج ، ولد في "خرميش" إحدى قرى
"بخارى" عام 370 هـ/ أغسطس 908م .
كان لابن سينا معرفة جيدة بالأدوية وفعاليتها،
وقد صنف الأدوية في ست مجموعات، وكانت الأدوية المفردة والمركبة " الأقرباذين"
التي ذكرها في مصنفاته وبخاصة كتاب القانون لها أثر عظيم وقيمة علمية كبيرة بين علماء
الطب والصيدلة..
وبلغ عدد الأدوية التي وصفها في كتابه نحو
760 عقَّارًا .
*ابو بكر الرازي
:
ولد أبو بكر الرازي في الري عام 250هـ وتوفي
عام 311 هـ .
يعد أول من صنع مراهم الزئبق، وكان من دعاة
العلاج بالدواء المفرد (طب الأعشاب والغذاء)، وعدم اللجوء إلى الدواء المركب إلا في
الضرورة، وفي ذلك يقول:
"مهما قدرت أن تعالج بدواء مفرد، فلا تعالج بدواء مركب".
